Michał Starow wygrywa zawody w Bangkoku i zostaje Mistrzem Unitetd Series Strongman 2005 r.
Starow przez rok zrobił bardzo duże postępy.
Zawodnicy startujący w Bangkoku odwiedzili fermę krokodyli, a Derek Boyer i Jowanovic byli pierwszymi strongmenami ciągnącymi słonia.
Sukces, jakim okazał się pierwszy rok rozgrywania zawodów USS w Azji jest częścią długo terminowego planu „ – powiedział Jak Chamikorn z firmy „Brave Hart Int.” – “Nasza następna runda kwalifikacyjna “Droga do strongmana” rozpocznie się w Lipcu.
4 Listopada ponownie odbędzie się finał sezonu 2006 w Bangkoku.
Obecnie naszym planem jest zorganizowanie imprez także w Chinach i Indiach.
Tajlandia jest potwierdzona do 2008r”.
Po wspaniałym sukcesie Sportel Monte Carlo 2005 oraz po imponującej sprzedaży praw do stacji telewizyjnych, wszystkie kolejne imprezy będą przedstawiane w poszerzonych 52 minutowych programach.

Do kolejnego sezonu zakwalifikowała się najlepsza szóstka z finału w Tajlandii, jak i oczywiście pierwsza szóstka z całego sezonu.
Oficjalna lista startowa zawiera 10 zawodników z 8 krajów, – co jest dowodem jakości oraz międzynarodowości imprez organizowanych przez USS.
Jesteśmy w dobrym kontakcie z Jarosławem Dymkiem, który rozpoczął współpracę z USS w tym roku.
Myślimy, że kolejną gwiazdą naszej federacji może się stać Sebastian Wenta, który także zakwalifikował się na przyszły sezon.

The 5th competition of the United Strongman Series 2005 took place in Bangkok/Thailand. 10 athletes from 7 countries were attending the event, including Derek Boyer from Australia, Milan Jovanovic, representing Serbia & Montenegro, and Michael Starov representing Ukraine and leading the United Strongman Series ranking.

The athletes at the Season Final in Bangkok competed in following disciplines:
1. Arm over Arm Car Pull
2. Duck walk
3. Tyre Flip
4. Log Lift (max reps)
5. Loading Medley
6. Deadlift (2x TukTuk!)

Michael Starov wins Season Final in Bangkok and is the clear 2005 Champion of the United Strongman Series.
Throughout the year Starov impressed with professionism, constancy and real power!
On Friday, the day before the event, the so called pre-shooting day, all strongman visited crocodiles, monkeys, snakes, tigers and real big strong elephants in the world largest crocodile farm out of Bangkok.
Derek Boyer and Milan Jovanovic were the first strongman to pull an elephant.
Michael Starov almost fighted against a tiger and for the other it was no problem to play with hungry crocodiles and tricky monkeys. More infos on www.unitedstrongmanseries.org
On the competition day, over 5.000 spectators in the MCC hall saw the Thai Champion Tongchan in the first discipline ranked 8th.
At the end only 2.5 points were missing for 9th place.
Certainly next year Tongchan will again compete in the national qualification tournament "Road to Strongman" in Thailand.
"The success of our first year, the United Strongman Series first in Asia, is part of our long term agreement with the United Strongman Federation", reported Mr Jak Chamikorn from Brave Heart Int. Furthermore he said that "our next national qualification tournament "Road to strongman" will start in July 2006, on the 4th November 2006 we are proud to host the Season Final 2006 again here in Bangkok.
Currently our business plan is to host 2006 USS events also in China and India, Thailand is confirmed until 2008", said Jak Chamikorn, Company's advisor.
Since the marvellous success of Sportel Monte Carlo 2005 and the impressive TV sales of Sports TV Media Distribution it was announced today that the 2006 highlight shows will be extended to 52 minutes format.
"All TV stations requested to get more top quality strongman shows from us, and also for our sponsors it is important to have now an hourly slot of each USS event on the major TV networks worldwide", said Mr Othmar Valzacchi, Vice-President of United Strongman Federation.
Qualified for United Strongman Series Season Opening in April 2006 are the first 6 ranked athletes of the Thailand Season Final and - of course - the first 6th placed of the Overall 2005 Series.
The official qualification list for the first event includes 10 athletes from 8 nations - an evidence of the quality and internationality of the USS competitions!
